The Gray Sheep

What is www.graysheep.org?

This is a Christian site with a weekly devotional.

New to the Website

I see I haven't updated this part in a LONG time. But I do finally have something new: a geneology program. Please check it out: Genealogy
I'm currently working on adding some new features to The Gray Sheep. One of the first of the new features is a game. I'm not really ready to publish it for general use, but if you'd like to try it out before I'm done, here it is: Fours

Who we are

Jon Gray

I'm an electrical engineer eager to use my training in a new ministry. I worked for my Dad making custom machines. I also make electronics and software on the side. I do all of the technical work for this web site.

Loretta Gray

I'm currently a stay at home wife. I spend my days writing and gardening. This has been my dream for many years. Writing this newsletter is a new ministry that I am very excited about. I also enjoy singing and playing the piano.

Sending the newsletter to others

We encourage you to pass this along to anyone you think will enjoy it. To make things easier, you can send them an e-mail with "http://www.graysheep.org" in it. They can 'bookmark' it, and check back each week themselves.

The name 'Gray Sheep'

The main basis for the name comes from:
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost!' -- Luke 15:4-6
A white sheep is a symbol of purity. And a black sheep is a symbol of rebellion. Neither one of those apply to us, although we are striving toward purity and perfection. Since we are the Grays, "The Gray Sheep" best describes who we are.
